Hosting is the online space that allows your website to be accessible from anywhere in the world.
This is the name you enter in your browser to access your site. An example: mywebsite.ch or nanhosting.ch. With this name, you can directly reach your website.
The physical infrastructure we work with is actually provided and managed by KreativMedia.
Thus, we can guarantee a professional service in terms of infrastructure and automation. This is the guarantee that your site will be accessible 99.9% of the time.
All personal data of the customer remains in the possession of nanhosting. They will not be given to third parties.
Hosting
Your hosting will allow you to include one (1) main domain name and a number of sub-domains.
You also have the possibility:
- Add email addresses
- Add databases
- Manage your folders and files
- To choose the version of PHP (and its parameters)
- To modify the DNS zone
- …
If your site contains a few pages and images or is a showcase site using WordPress for example, nanhosting is the right hosting service for you.

If you already have a site online, please provide us with the following information in order to migrate from the old host to nanhosting :
- Access to your current host
- Access to the server console (PLESK, CPanel, etc)
If you don’t have a site yet: you can create one directly with WordPress from the platform or locally from your computer. Thanks to the console access we sent you, you will have the necessary tools to transfer these files to your hosting.
If you wish, we can do this migration for you. This will be subject to an estimate:
- If your site is static: one-time fee of CHF 20.00
- If your site has dynamic content (blog for example): one-time fee of CHF 40.00
To begin with, prepare the accesses to your current host in order to be able to transfer the site to us. Don’t forget to terminate the contract with your current host beforehand. Then simply fill out the nanhosting membership form and we will contact you to discuss the next steps.
When purchasing a hosting, we ask you to provide a domain name that will be linked to your hosting. Please indicate the domain name you wish to have.
As soon as we receive your order, we will check the availability of the domain name with KreativMedia and we will send you a link to purchase the domain name.
We can take care of the purchase of the domain name for you. The monthly fees related to it will be added to the hosting.
Contact us via our contact form and specify which domain you want to change your subscription on. Once accepted, your new subscription will be assigned.
On the nanhosting page, click on the login link to the administration platform at the top right. You can also access this page via https://eris.ch-dns.net:8443
Enter the username and password that was sent to you by email.
Sometimes you need more disk space for your hosting or mailbox. In this case, we will propose you to take one of the two following subscriptions:
- Parsec: Increase disk space by 1 GB at CHF 2.00/month. Can be used to increase the disk space for the Atomail PRO offer
- Atomail PRO : Increase of the number of email addresses.
Invoices
The invoice is sent to you only by e-mail. You will find the necessary bank information to make the payment via e-banking.
Cancellation
You can cancel your contract at any time. Please send us your request by email (contact@nanhosting.ch) 30 days before the desired termination date. We will reimburse you the remaining amount of your accommodation on a pro rata basis.
After 30 days, your hosting and data at nanhosting will be permanently deleted. Any loss of data is not the responsibility of nanhosting.
Mailbox installation
Once your hosting and domain name have been set up
you have the possibility to use your concerned e-mail addresses via the webmail. But not only that. You can also set up these emails on your phone or computer, which is much more convenient in some cases. After choosing the “Other account” option to add an email address, you need to enter the following information:
- In the “User name/E-mail” fields: enter the complete e-mail address (e.g. “contact@monsite.ch” )
- Insert the password of the e-mail address in question.
- For the incoming and outgoing server: eris.ch-dns.net
- Also select IMAP (preferred to POP)
- The SMTP server uses port 465
Once you have provided this information, you can take full advantage of receiving and sending messages at any time.
Save/Backup
It is possible to recover your data up to 15 days back.
You can make a request via our contact form or by email (contact@nanhosting.ch), indicating the date of the data you wish to recover.
